Job Description

the Commercial Manager’s principal functions are:

• To have an in-depth and up-to-date understanding of the Oman infrastructure market and its stakeholders.

• To actively market the services and capabilities of the company to industry stakeholders

• To ensure early identification of business/ project/ tender/ partnership opportunities and to brief and co-ordinate the company commercial strategy with the Country Manager

• To manage the estimating and quantity surveying department of the company in order to minimize risk and optimize turnover and returns for the company


Commercial Responsibilities

• To maintain and strengthen existing relationships with key customers who operate in the Oman market and to develop relationships with newly identified customers in order to maximize opportunities and expand our market share by securing an increased level of work with existing and new customers.
• Research, gather and analyse market data for the department to continually monitor and report on market opportunities.
• Investigate, analyse and understand how our competitors operate in terms of pricing, strategy, operations.
• Development of Oman commercial strategy in conjunction with Country Manager, and lead implementation.
• Monitor and report on critical KPIs.


Desired Candidate Profile

• 10 years work experience in Construction.
• A minimum of 5 years experience in the Road Construction Contracting / Commercial / Estimation environment.
• 1 - 3 years experience in a customer facing role.
• Degree preferably in construction relate field (Engineering/ QS)
• IT literate (Tendering software)
