Job Description

Information Technology Manager manages all IT activities in the organization. Implements and maintains the policies and goals for the IT department and organization technology infrastructure to support the company's needs. Being an Information Technology Manager ensures proper information system operations and plans necessary upgrades.

Desired Candidate Profile

 Develop IT strategy for the organization in line with business objectives.
 Contribute to the formulation of the IT strategy and lead its implementation in line with company vision, mission, corporate objectives and business plan.
 Maintain an organized, stable and secure operating environment for all network, software applications and telecommunication systems used at the company to meet business requirements.
 Develop and drive adherence to Service Level Agreements covering all IT areas and discuss with top management to ensure that IT systems are made available and IT functions are performed in time and in accordance with internal standards.
 Manage the implementation of various IT hardware and software projects in all project stages along with the business units in order to approve the functionality and technical specifications provided by the vendors to ensure project objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner and achieve an integrated approach within a single network.
 Direct the design and implementation of an appropriate IT infrastructure in order to support company's strategic and operational IT needs.
 Leverage the existing infrastructure in order to meet the changing business requirements.
 Establish and implement appropriate preventative and responsive IT maintenance plans and procedures to continuously improve the services provided to the business operations, ensuring that appropriate performance measures, monitoring and incident management processes are in place and necessary actions are taken to address any issues.
 Plan and oversee major IT projects and initiatives within the organisation to ensure the company's strategic and operational priorities are met and projects are completed successfully within the set timeframe, budget, and relevant policies and guidelines.
 Oversee relationships with IT suppliers/vendors and ensure supervision of all external service provider activity to ensure suitable contracts are agreed and they provide a quality service to the organisation.
 Ensure effective project management principles and best practices are applied to identify, launch, implement, and monitor IT projects, including software applications and drive quality process initiatives throughout infrastructure project lifecycles.
 Ensure an effective information technology support service is in place and running smoothly, in order to provide the organisation with access to required IT services, maintain hardware and software and respond efficiently to issues.
 Prioritize planned and unplanned IT requests based on business requirements, so as to ensure timely resolution of users.
 Collect detailed requirements by providing advice on IT needs comprising of software and hardware to address user’s needs and maximize IT efficiency of the company.
 Identify and plan for expenses during the year in alignment with business objectives and priorities.
 Provide inputs in finalizing the budget for the department/section and monitor budget continuously.
 Highlight and prepare a business case for deviations from budget/expenditures on unplanned activities.
 Communicate the overall business plan and focus areas for the business and clarify the manner in which the team will contribute to overall business objectives; translate the business plan into team/departmental objectives.
 Delegate responsibilities and tasks to team members with clear timelines and expectations on quality; make available the requisite resources to perform the job.
 Review performance in an objective, fair, and transparent manner and hold people accountable for performance; create development plans in line with employee aspirations and company objectives.
